Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the most famous songs of the world famous rock band Queen. It first appeared on the album "A Night at the Opera" in 1975. I would describe this song as the legend of the legend.
A never seen before composition
The structure of the song is out of the ordinary. It is not composed in a classical way with verses and choruses, but in six distinct parts. An introduction, a ballad, a solo, an opera part, a hard rock part, and a conclusion. Freddie Mercury himself says that he didn't write a song, but that he assembled 3 of them, which certainly explains its length of almost 6 minutes.
On the radio
It's a risky bet that Queen took, by placing Bohemian Rhapsody as the main song of the album. Because of its size and unusual structure, the song could not be played on the radio, which would have made the album's sales fail. Fortunately, the album was a worldwide success.
Biopic
A film retracing the life of the singer, Freddie Mercury, was released in 2018: "Bohemian Rhapsody". We find in this film all the construction of the group, from its beginnings, until the end of Mercury's life. The song Bohemian Rhapsody is obviously the original soundtrack of the film. We find it in its entirety at the end of the film, during the concert scene for the Live Aid. The set design has been redone identically in the film.

The pioneer of the clip
At the time of its release, the title is accompanied by a musical clip. A process that was far from being democratized at the time. However, the dazzling success of the title pushed the music labels to create more and more clips for other artists. This allowed, among other things, to promote music on television, without the artists being present live. We can therefore say that the song was one of the pioneers in this field. This clip now has 1.5 billion views on Youtube.
Awards
The song dominated the UK Singles Chart for 14 weeks and is still the 3rd best selling single in the UK. It has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. After the release of the homonymous movie in 2018, it became the most listened to song of the 20th century.
